Apeiron and GSK sign an exclusive licence agreement for Apeiron’s therapeutic enzyme project APN01
 
Apeiron Biologics AG (Apeiron) today announced the signing of an agreement granting GlaxoSmithKline (GSK) exclusive rights to APN01 (recombinant human Angiotensin Converting Enzyme 2, rhACE2), an enzyme biotherapeutic currently in Phase 1 development for the treatment of the Acute Respiratory Distress Syndrome (ARDS).

We congratulate our collaborator Gavin Oudit MD for receiving an award from the Canadian Cardiovascular Society for the "highly innovative and productive research program" he established with Apeiron. "This work opens new, very promising avenues for the treatment of patients with heart failure. The committee has been highly impressed by the translational nature of Oudit's program, from fundamental molecular advances in our understanding of ACE2 biology to clinical applications." More ...
